Motivation Monday – What Motivates You?

During my weight loss journey, I’ve had ups and downs, however I have always found the internet to be a fantastic source of inspiration, advice, and assistance. From calorie counts, to imagery, from nutritional sites, to other bloggers, each of these individual things help form my motivation to keep going. Of course, I also have real life friends who help motivate me – some don’t even know it.

Before and after photos are one of my favourites. I’ve been taking photos during my own journey and also use these as motivation. (I might even post them if I get brave enough!). Another favourite are the the motivational quotes! Yep they are corny, but they work for me.

I’d like to think that just as others have motivated me, I can go on to motivate others.

  1. I need to be constantly motivating myself. I look through pictures of successful fitness models, my own before pictures, I listen to some songs to pump me up and sift through a collection of fitness and health quotes I have saved on my phone!

    I also try thinking of why I started this journey, and that usually pushes me forward through another day. 😉
